I think, in presence of CVMFS which is visible locally and on the grid, MU2E_SEARCH_PATH / MU2E_FILE_PATH introduce more confusion, then they help. The main downside is clear immediately: one can't use filenames fully qualified with the UNIX path. -- Pasha
