Generally, if you have a ID card you can enter the lab at any time, but the public will have restricted times. Both may have restrictions on the hours for the entrances - see current lab policy
If you do not have a Fermilab Visitor's ID, then you may visit Fermilab during the day every day of the year. You may need to show a valid photo identifidation, such as a drivers license or passport, and tell the guard the purpose of your visit. If you enter Fermilab this way, then you are only authorized to visit the public areas of the lab site, unless accompanied by someone with a valid ID. So we advise you, when planning your first visit to the lab, to allow time to obtain a Fermilab Visitor's ID card.
If you are staying at on site housing without a valid ID, and you will be arriving after public hours, when you make your reservations ask what the procedure is to get on site after hours. You will be able to get to your housing but the details do change from time to time.
Remember that Fermilab Visitor IDs expire periodically and make sure that yours is up to date.
