ComputingAccounts
New to Fermilab and Mu2e
If you are not registered as a Fermilab user and do not have a kerberos principal, please go to instructions for registering as a Fermilab user, where you can also declare you are associated with Mu2e, and get all accounts and authentication created. Also please check that you are familiar with the resources at the new members page. As part of your accounts, you will be given an email YOUR_USERNAME@fnal.gov
. Since lab-based and automatic emails may be sent to the address, and your colleagues may assume they can reach you here, be sure to monitor this address, or set forwarding.
New to Mu2e
If you already have some Fermilab computer accounts, including kerberos and services principals, but do not have the Mu2e accounts, please go to this page in the Service Desk. See also instructions.
When you follow the link, you may be prompted for the username and password of your services account (NOT your kerberos password). From the "Select Affiliation/Experiment" pull down menu you should select "E-973 (Mu2e Muon to ElectronConversion)". In the Institution box, write the name of your home institution. Then click submit. Within a day ( usually less than a few hours ) you should get an email saying that you have accounts on the Mu2e computers. If you do not get this email after one day, send email to Rob Kutschke ( see the Fermilab online phone book ).
What's next
Once your accounts are created, please proceed to the computing overview and computing login pages.
